Kearny Point – Building 197
Adaptive Re-Use Flex, Light Industrial "Makers" Space
The Kearny Point Building 197 project converted a former industrial building into nearly 200,000 square feet of flexible light manufacturing and office space. This $27.4 million project, led by Hugo Neu Corp, was designed to accommodate small businesses and included a hydroponic farm as the anchor tenant.
Monge Capital arranged NMTC and state financing to support job creation and adaptive reuse of a waterfront brownfield site.
Estimated Economic and Social Impact
250 jobs and 400 construction jobs.
