Jeff Monge, Managing Director of Monge Capital, has closed over $2 billion of complex structured finance transactions creating thousands of construction jobs and permanent jobs as well as an array of services for unserved communities nationally. Jeff has extensive expertise in direct equity investing and the usage of a variety of city, state and federal financing programs including a niche focus on New Markets Tax Credit, Historic Tax Credit, Opportunity Zones, and flexible financing options. In 2018, he participated in closing one of the first Opportunity Zone transactions in the country.
Prior to founding Monge Capital, Jeff was Senior Vice President & Principal for Urban America, L.P., a $520 million real estate investment fund focused on acquiring and developing commercial real estate in underserved urban markets. During his 10-year tenure, he was the primary investment originator which led to a portfolio of over $2 billion.
Yanderi Montano, Director at Monge Capital, has extensive experience in affordable housing and community development, including new markets tax credit (NMTC) and low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) transactions. Before joining Monge Capital, Ms. Montano was Vice President Asset Manager with Citi Community Capital. There she asset managed $391 million of Citibank’s NMTC allocation, $1.1 billion in LIHTC Investments, and $262 million in structured lending commitments.
Yanderi began her career at Novogradac & Company as an accountant. She graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Yanderi is licensed as a certified public accountant in California.
Brianne Andrea Lund is an Investment Associate at Monge Capital Advisors who has aided in securing over $90 million of capital for real estate projects and operating businesses across the United States from Los Angeles to New York City. She has developed expertise in attracting public and private capital to projects including food distribution facilities, cultural infrastructure, medical offices, and community facilities.
Brianne’s primary roles include project management, financial modeling, client relations, and partnership. Prior to joining Monge Capital, Brianne worked at Deloitte in audit and tax consulting practices. Brianne is an Open Access and Project REAP/ Urban Land Institute Fellowship alumna. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
Francisco “Cisco” Tejada provides advisory, underwriting, and structuring services for New Markets Tax Credits, commercial real estate, capital markets and community development finance at Monge Capital. Prior to joining Monge Capital, Cisco was responsible for operations, research, analysis, underwriting, and financial modeling for HKS Real Estate Advisors. Altogether, Cisco has analyzed over 10,000 properties and over $3 billion in cash-flowing, ground-up construction, or re-development business plans for acquisition, refinance, and exit strategies.
Prior to his career in CRE, Francisco served as a Senior Systems Engineer and Project Manager for 12+ years with a global defense company. Cisco gained experience in Aerospace, cybersecurity and wireless networks industries, developing solutions for Federal, State and Local governments ranging in value from $2 million to $750 million. Cisco earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of NYU and an M.E degree in Systems Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.
Prior to working with Monge Capital, Bryan spent five years with Novogradac and Company, a leading professional services organization providing certified public accounting, valuation, and consulting nationwide. At Novogradac, he supported a broad range of nonprofit and for-profit industry clients providing New Market Tax Credits, Historic Tax credits, and Opportunity Zone Tax Credit structuring and forecasting leading to over $600 million of project investments. Bryan Kromer graduated from Ohio University with a BS in Accounting.
